La Cité francophone and Centre communautaire d'Edmonton continue the celebration of local artists and live music, providing music lovers a chance to enjoy magnificent FREE concerts!

The Cunningham Family Band
August 20 - 7 pm to 9 pm

Edmonton’s own Cunningham Family Band, has been playing together off and on for over 30 years. They are a mainstay of the Flying Canoe Volant where they have animated the Métis Camp stage since its inception in 2014. Essentially an acoustic ensemble they play a mix of folk, rock, old time and alternative music. Many of the compositions are original. 
The family has toured extensively across Canada and throughout Europe where they have set audiences dancing and singing to traditional Métis tunes and contemporary musical compositions. Each year they host ELFF – Edmonton’s Littlest Folk Festival, as part of the Millcreek communities’ annual summer soirée.

Sean Pinchin

Juno Nominated and Internationally Recognized Singer/ Songwriter/ Slide Guitarist Sean Pinchin has been a steady presence on the Festival circuit for nearly 2 decades.. Since his first performance in 2005 while opening for Sawyer Brown as Guitarist / 2nd Vocalist in a Gretchen Wilson Tribute band, Sean had begun a regular pre - pandemic life on the road performing roughly 200 shows a year all through North America.

Stewart McDougall

Stewart McDougall is a Canadian Singer/Songwriter whose career began over 50 years ago in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Since relocating to Edmonton in 1980, he has become a mainstay as one of Alberta’s most in demand and diverse performers. He is best known for his keyboardist/vocalist work with Laura Vinson, K.D.Lang, Ian Tyson and the Great Western Orchestra. His songs have been recorded by those artists as well as Sneezy Waters and Randy Travis among others.

Peter Stone

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, singer - Peter has worked in the creative arts industry for over 15 years as a performer, sound engineer, booker and promoter, studio owner, and producer.. As the lead singer of folk act 100 mile house he has released 5 studio albums, performed at festivals across the globe and gained awards and nominations across Canada.

Braden Gates
August 23 - 7 pm to 9 pm

Braden Gates writes songs that sound just like real life: weary and hopeful at the same time. His playing features a wistfulness that makes you wonder about the roads he's travelled mixed with a joy that is a pleasure to hear.
