The response to the summer series was such a success we are pleased to announced
that we continue our celebration of local artists, live music,
and CAFÉ bicyclette’s unique culinary offerings UNTIL December 5!
The concerts will be presented in the Great Hall of La Cité francophone
or in CAFÉ bicyclette for an intimate concert experience.
Seating starts at 6pm and concerts begin at 7pm.

Jim Head au CAFÉ bicyclette

Jim Head has spent much of his career in Edmonton, home to a thriving jazz scene and one of Canada's great jazz clubs, the Yardbird Suite, where he is a frequent performer. He also spent several years in Montreal, studying at McGill University and working with many of the leading artists in the Montreal jazz scene.

Mireille Moquin au CAFÉ bicyclette

A fifth generation Franco-Albertan, Mireille Moquin
is known as a singer, songwriter and actress in the Western Canadian Francophone community.
For the better part of 10 years, her musical projects have brought her to meet audiences across the country. Since 2006, Mireille brings the feminine touch to the franco-albertan folk roots ensemble Allez Ouest, all the while pursuing her solo project.

Tina Hartt au CAFÉ bicyclette

Montréal born Tina Hartt sings with a sensuality that mirrors emotions we can no longer express verbally. Her clear voice glides effortlessly from phrases
of incredible intimacy to vibrant improvisation.
Her repertoire revives jazz songs from a by gone era and she dip generously into all types of French chanson – pourquoi pas !
November 7th
Jimmy Guiboche & Pete Turland Band
Jimmy Guiboche and Pete Turland have had
a friendship dating back to the mid-nineties when
they toured together with Harpdog Brown and the Bloodhounds. Their mutual love for the blues and guitar shenanigans has brought them together in this high-energy, guitar-driven duo with some veteran pals backing them up. Their sound is steeped in the blues, country, rockabilly and good old rock and roll, guaranteed to keep the dance floor packed all night long! Make sure you wear your dancing shoes!

Annual Christmas Concert
Our annual Bok Brass Christmas concert at La Cité francophone, a tradition not to be missed. Founded
in 2014, Bok Brass has taken the Edmonton music scene by storm, performing a wide variety of music from Baroque to The Beatles, Renaissance to Ragtime,
and Classical to Contemporary.
